Die Unterstützung für Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) ermögliche nun auch die Fernlöschung eines gestohlenen oder verloren gegangenen Palm Pre, teilt Palm im offiziellen Firmen-Blog mit. Außerdem unterstütze webOS nun auch die Passwort/PIN-Anforderungen von EAS, das Timeout bei Inaktivität und können nun besser mit Zertifikaten umgehen.

Palm hat das Update außerdem genutzt, Apple wieder ein Schnippchen zu schlagen. So kann ein Palm Pre wieder mit der aktuellen iTunes-Software wie ein iPod oder ein iPhone synchronisiert werden. Das webOS wird über die WLAN- oder Mobilfunkverbindung aktualisert.
